We're doing it!
MT Alpha Cycling is adding a Road Team for the 2018 season!!!! As many of you may know, Montana has been suffering from a road biking draught. While mountain biking popularity has increased and more mountain biking events continue to be scheduled (WHICH WE LOVE!), road biking has taken a back burner. Our goal is to give new life to the sport by showing more ladies that road biking can be just as fun as riding trail! THE MOST EXCITING NEWS: TAMARA "Mama Tam" Bessette is our coach/ mentor and team mom! Many women (and men) have been inspired, encouraged and lifted up by Tam. Tamara has too many national championships under her belt to count, she has been racing (and winning) for YEARS; and she is the best coach a girl could ever ask for.* Are you interested? Our long term goals are to bring back a local race series and increase the number of competitive Montana ladies on the start line of stage races across the North West. Our short term goals are to develop a team that rides, trains and races in as many events as we can/want! We envision that our 2018 Road Team will consist of both new women who want to learn how to ride road (think: pace line, drafting, pulling, leading out for sprint, etc.) and also many experienced riders who want a team to race with in local and regional events (think: the Montana Gravel Challenge) CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT BECOMING A ROAD TEAM MEMBER! (quick! We want you to train with us as soon as the roads are dry!) See you out on the road! * Tamara has more knowledge, skill and strength that most men. Her energy and dedication to the cycling community has been crucial to Montana bike racing and most of us wouldn't be half as strong if Tamara wasn't in our lives. If you haven't met her yet, your world is not complete!
