ADULT TEAM

MT Alpha Cycling is dedicated to getting more identifying women, girls, and non-binary people on bikes. We focus on cultivating skills, confidence, and competition through clinics, group rides, training, and race support.

RIDE DETAILS
Our adult team rides start once the trails are ready (usually May) and are held on Wednesday nights at 6:15pm. We will offer two ride options:
Option 1: a slower and shorter skills ride led by an experienced member of MT Alpha.
Option 2: a no-drop, intermediate-paced team ride

Riders will meet at the same location but take different routes. The skills ride will be a shorter loop with less climbing, making time to stop at switchbacks and technical features to practice skills and build confidence. Ride leaders will vary. Each skills ride will have an uphill, downhill, or technical focus.

Here's what our Members are Saying

"I was lucky enough to find MT Alpha shortly after moving to Missoula. I was looking to meet and ride with other rad women. Alpha has been perfect for that! Not only are the weekly group rides super fun, volunteering for trail dig days and with the Juniors program has been very rewarding. It’s been a great way to get involved in Missoula’s awesome bike community!" - Teresa

Picture
"MT alpha has allowed me to explore missoula trails and build lasting friendships. So happy to of joined this crew!" - Lena

Picture
"MT Alpha is such a great club because it supports so many goals! It's great to ride all different rides in Missoula with fun women. The skills clinics are fantastic for learning or improving skills on the bike and building confidence. If you are interested in racing or just participating with others in fun long rides around the state, the club teams will participate in those as well. I really was impressed at how well the club supported a wide range of goals and skill sets and I have fun every time I go!" - Sarah

Picture
"My passion lies primarily in triathlon and gravel biking. You will typically see me in the back of
the pack and bringing up the rear. As someone who is not a strong or skilled biker, I came to MT Alpha looking for that safe space to expand my riding capabilities and network with a group of likeminded people." - Larissa
