We're doing it!
MT Alpha Cycling is adding a Road Team for the 2018 season!!!!
As many of you may know, Montana has been suffering from a road biking draught. While mountain biking popularity has increased and more mountain biking events continue to be scheduled (WHICH WE LOVE!), road biking has taken a back burner. Our goal is to give new life to the sport by showing more ladies that road biking can be just as fun as riding trail!
THE MOST EXCITING NEWS:
TAMARA "Mama Tam" Bessette is our coach/ mentor and team mom! Many women (and men) have been inspired, encouraged and lifted up by Tam. Tamara has too many national championships under her belt to count, she has been racing (and winning) for YEARS; and she is the best coach a girl could ever ask for.*
Are you interested?
Our long term goals are to bring back a local race series and increase the number of competitive Montana ladies on the start line of stage races across the North West.
Our short term goals are to develop a team that rides, trains and races in as many events as we can/want!
We envision that our 2018 Road Team will consist of both new women who want to learn how to ride road (think: pace line, drafting, pulling, leading out for sprint, etc.) and also many experienced riders who want a team to race with in local and regional events (think: the Montana Gravel Challenge)

(quick! We want you to train with us as soon as the roads are dry!)
See you out on the road!
* Tamara has more knowledge, skill and strength that most men. Her energy and dedication to the cycling community has been crucial to Montana bike racing and most of us wouldn't be half as strong if Tamara wasn't in our lives. If you haven't met her yet, your world is not complete!
We are EXTREMELY excited to announce that we have finalized details for out 2017 Junior season!
We will be having a parent meeting April 3, 2017 at 5:30pm at Endurance Physio. Registration for the team will open up at the meeting. This means that parents and girls who attend the meeting have first dibs for a spot on the team.
This is important because we only have 25 spots open!*
Second, there are a few changes to our program details. One of those changes we are SO excited about and can't wait to announce it at our parent meeting!
To read about the details of the program, check out our Junior Page. And, if you have any questions, feel free to email us! (email@example.com)
*we are so sad to have limit our numbers, but we feel that having a smaller group enables us to develop closer relationships with each other and have more one on one time with our girls so that they can get the most out of our rides!
Our 5th annual mountain bike skills clinic at Ten Spoon Winery will be SUNDAY, JUNE 4. We are excited for another awesome days of skills building and trail riding. REGISTRATION OPENS ON APRIL 15. Mark your calendars as the clinic fills quickly! We will again have smaller skills clinics this year, with details still in the works. Check back soon!
The beginner and intermediate skills groups are now full for our June 5 skills clinic at Ten Spoon. There are still a few spots for the advanced group, as well as the junior girls and boys group. Those spots are filling, too, so register soon! If you are interested in being on a wait list, you can sign up here. See you all on June 5!

This season Jed Dennison from Zilla State (One of our awesome sponsors) offered his awesome bike van to Mt Alpha to help us get more girls on trail. The van has been awesome to use at our Mt Alpha Women's clinic, Marshall Mountain race series, Missoula XC and coaching all spring-summer. A big thank you for the use of the van!
